Tarheel Swimming Association

Welcome to the home of North Carolina's largest summer recreational youth swim league! In 2007, almost 9,000 athletes swam for one of TSA's 69 member teams. This summer, we expect even more swimmers and more teams!

The purpose of the TSA is:
  • to further interest in competitive swimming,
  • to set and enforce meet standards and rules for participation, and
  • to foster cooperation between participating clubs.
  •
TSA's member clubs are located all over Wake County, as shown on this map. Click on an arrow for detailed information about that club. Blue arrows represent clubs in TSA's North League and red arrows represent clubs in the South League.

    New! TSA Blog
A TSA blog is now available. All TSA Representatives (including Alternates) are welcome to contribute. Everyone is welcome to peruse.

Pool Professionals is once again generously offering a $1000 Partnership Scholarship to a TSA swimmer. See the application (MS Word format) for more details. Congratulations to Lauren Bays of Southall for winning the 2007 Partnership Scholarship!

    Clinic Opportunities for Swimmers

    Interested in Joining TSA?
The TSA is a non-profit corporation in the state of North Carolina. Private swim clubs within Wake County are eligible for TSA membership, subject to the provisions of the Bylaws.

Those clubs interested in petitioning for membership in 2008 must submit their petition before the February 12 Board of Directors meeting. The petition must affirm a club's commitment to the organization's attendance and participation requirements.

If your club is just forming a swim team, we recommend that you swim a year as an Exhibition Team in order to learn TSA's procedures and practices. Please contact TSA President Bob Goudreau if you are interested.
