Tarheel Swimming Association

Welcome to the home of North Carolina's largest summer recreational youth swim league! Over 10,000 athletes aged 18 and under competed last summer for TSA's 79 member teams, and we will have 81 teams in 2013. If you are interested in swimming with TSA this year, check the club roster and club map to find a team near you.

The purpose of the TSA is:
  • to further interest in competitive swimming,
  • to set and enforce meet standards and rules for participation, and
  • to foster cooperation between participating clubs.
  •
TSA's member clubs are located all over Wake County, as shown on the club map. Click on an arrow for detailed information about that club. Blue arrows represent clubs in TSA's North League and red arrows represent clubs in the South League.

    NEW: 2013 Meets
The 2013 dual meet schedule has been set; check your team's page for details. Dual meets this summer will be held on six consecutive Tuesday nights: June 11, 18 and 25, and July 2, 9 and 16. The league Championship meet will be held the weekend of July 20 and 21. Teams ranked 1 through 12 in either league (North and South) will compete on Sunday the 21st, and all other teams will compete on Saturday the 20th.

    2012 Season Results
Congratulations to each of the 20 division champions for 2012, and to the overall league champion Seven Oaks Marlins, winners of the first TSA Championship Meet to be held since 1998!

    Grants and Scholarships
At the TSA Championship Meet on July 22, twenty-five recent high school graduates were selected in a random drawing to receive Cecil L. Williamson TSA Educational Grants of $400 each. Congratulations to the Educational Grant recipients!

NEW: Pool Professionals is once again generously sponsoring the Partnership Scholarship for TSA swimmers. This year the program has been expanded and two $1000 scholarships will be awarded to high school students graduating this spring, one to a female swimmer and one to a male. The application deadline is July 1st, 2013. See the application for more details.

    Interested in Joining TSA?
The TSA is a non-profit corporation in the state of North Carolina. Private swim clubs within Wake County are eligible for TSA membership, subject to the provisions of the Bylaws.

Those clubs interested in petitioning for membership must submit their petition before the February Board of Directors meeting. The petition must affirm a club's commitment to the organization's attendance and participation requirements.

If your club is just forming a swim team, we recommend that you swim a year as an Exhibition Team in order to learn TSA's procedures and practices. Please contact TSA President Cathy Traugot if you are interested.
