TSA Teams with SAFEchild to Raise Child Abuse and Neglect Awareness
Tuesday April 9th members of the Tarheel Swimming Association, together with the Community Associations Institute, met at NC State's McKimmon Center to learn about child abuse and neglect and how to prevent it in our community. Cristin DeRonja, SAFEchild's Executive Director, shared information on the types of abuse, the indications of abuse and neglect, and how to properly handle reported or suspected abuse or neglect. As members of our community we share in the responsibility of ensuring every child matures in an environment free from abuse and neglect.
To learn more about the incredibly impactful work Cristin and her team do on a daily basis at SAFEchild and what you can do to help please visit https://safechildnc.org/
Thank you to Pool Professionals owner, President, and CEO Dave Harvey and his team for organizing and sponsoring this initiative.

Interested in Joining TSA?
The TSA is a non-profit corporation in the state of North Carolina. Private swim clubs within Wake County are eligible for TSA membership, subject to the provisions of the Bylaws
Those clubs interested in petitioning for membership must submit their petition before the February Board of Directors meeting. The petition must affirm a club's commitment to the organization's attendance and participation requirements.
If your club is just forming a swim team, we recommend that you swim a year as an Exhibition Team in order to learn TSA's procedures and practices. Please contact TSA President Jim Moran
if you are interested.
